Or w/ The Bloodhounds, or His Dixie Deacons. (Usually a Quartet, or Trio)
Diablo Dimes is Blues, Americana, Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, Dixieland, Calypso, Hokum, Roots...
Self described as 'Honkytonk, hooked, hop, lushhead heebies, and a full orchestration at a barrelhouse!'
It's no wonder one raves about his unique sound, and memorable performances, like few others.
Dimes has played extensively from coast to coast, like butter and toast for all types of audiences. From CBGB's in New York, to Slim's in San Francisco, to Le Bon Temps Roule in New Orleans, to The Viper Room in Los Angeles... He's warmed up stages, and dives, for the likes of Chuck E. Weiss & The G-Damn Liars, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Radiators, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Iguanas, Royal Crown Revue, Cashed Out, The Sonics, Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, Mad Juana, Yard Dogs Road Show, Janes Addiction, Detroit Cobras, Mike Ness, Chris Whitley, The Toledo Show, Bingo, Nervous Cabaret, Pine Hill Haints, G Love, Jake LaBotz, Reverend Billy C. Wirts, Andre Williams, Leon Russell, Dwight Yoakam, and Wayne "The Train" Hancock to name a few memorable nights.
This is a sincere, primitive, and nostalgic approach most songwriters only dream of. With a smoky freight train for a voice box, Dimes complements it well as an authentic, and seasoned multi- instrumentalist.
In the last few years, Dimes has managed to have his music featured in a myriad of expression, from HBO, to The Discovery Channel. Sixteen months airplay on national college radio charts, and a featured performance on long time friend, and collaborator Chuck E. Weiss' album "23rd & Stout" on Cooking Vinyl Records. There's also been numerous independent films, play productions, and musicals to round up his contribution to the entertainment industry.
Available for purchase later this month on Rhythm Chief Records, is the release of the hokum blues/ragtime deluxe "Hoodoo Serpentine Blues"... He always thrills his company, weather it's an intimate ragtime holler, the carnival like one man band Medicine Show, or with either of his backing bands, The Bloodhounds, or His Dixie Deacons. A true original, raw and passionate, with enough charisma to fill a concert hall or, a dirty juke joint brawl!

Recorded in a three month solo stint onto analog four track real to reel tape in his Shenandoah Valley barn, it promises plenty of dirty grit, and rural confessions of a bygone era.
